I am running for School Board Director because I believe the district needs to be more transparent in policy decisions and improve communication with parents, staff, and community.

In addition, I am a proud parent of four children that all have benefited from the outstanding teachers and staff of our schools. I am thankful for the education and support my children received.

However I understand educational inequities among students is a real issue that must be addressed to ensure all students are receiving an education to bring them to their full potential. Covid19 has brought to the forefront these issues and I feel this is the time to jump in and address these matters.

I believe there are opportunities out there that we are missing for our children such as more CTE classes and life skill education. My goal is to solicit feedback, listen to our parents, students, and community, and work to implement the feedback received.

Being a professional in the insurance industry, I have experience bringing people together and solving problems. I find great satisfaction in bringing parties to agreement and understand how important all people involved are brought into the fold to find a sustainable solution.

I have activity participated in my children’s PTA/ Parent Organizations for over six years to help support students and the schools in fundraising and student activities. My roles have varied from President, Secretary, yearbook support, and facilitating fundraisers.
